Habits That Help You Easily Remember Your Lyrics
The primary and most important quality a singer or rapper must possess is the ability to be able to remember, sing and recite lyrics. You might not be able to write them, but at least you shouldn't forget them. Most artists get to forget their lyrics at some point, which is quite unfortunate. The reason and factors may vary. They range from fear, stress, less preparation, and so on. You never know when your time is up. It's unanticipated and spontaneous. Newer artists are more likely to forget their lyrics, but it's not a big problem, because people get better with time and experience. There are some habits and routines used by many artists and college students to make them easily remember their lyrics and study materials.
Write them down
There is a hidden domino effect related to writing and memory. Things are easily remembered if written down.  Overall, I discovered that artists who read their lyrics on paper, perform better than those reading their lyrics from a digital device during a recording session.  Although it's not always the case. Experienced artists perform the same during a recording session, no matter if they're reading the lyrics from a device or a piece of paper. A lot of experienced artists don't even write their lyrics. But, if you're a new artist, it's always more convenient and helpful if you get used to writing down your lyrics. That gives you a bigger picture of the whole project.
 Memorize them
Memorizing your lyrics brands them in your brain. Artists perform better if they constantly rehearse their music. Things are always a little bit harder with artists who don't write their lyrics, they may end up on the internet searching for lyrics of their music.  Practice makes better, and for artists to have extraordinary performances, they require proper and sufficient rehearsals.
 Workout
Working out or exercising has a great benefit on memory. The brain requires nutrients, which are driven through the blood by constant exercise. There are various studies supporting the fact that people who exercise less, might have higher risks of memory loss than people who often exercise.
Proper sleep
For many years, proper sleep and rest have proven to be highly beneficial to our memories.  Any digital device with a memory capacity eventually freezes if on and in use for long periods of time, humans are more fragile. We can't operate without proper sleep. Not only does the body require enough strength to function properly, but the brain also requires enough energy to lead the body.  Students who preserve a proper study schedule though out the semester perform better than students who rush over the whole book in three days with no sleep.
Of course, there are people blessed with higher IQs than others, but for the normal individual, proper sleep is the answer.
Healthy Diet
A healthier diet can help boost our memory. They are studies supporting the claim that individuals who consume a lot of sugar are likely to suffer from memory loss, which also affects their learning abilities.  Foods like green vegetables, berries, and fish are said to be rich in nutrients that aid in fighting memory loss.
Meditation
Constant meditation aids in concentration. Humans are always in a rush; we get to sit and connect with ourselves only when we sleep. Some people wake up, and never stop, if they're not on a digital device, they're on a book. People struggle to sit and think properly. They keep forcing themselves into thinking and finding solutions while under pressure. Little do they know that sitting and closing their eyes, concentrating, and trying not to sleep would help them find the answers within. This won't happen overnight, practice makes better. The more comfortable we get during meditation, the faster we become at finding answers buried in our subconscious.
 Listen to your music
It might sound very interesting and unbelievable that most artists don't listen to their music.  This might be because some artists get tired of listening to their own music since they have to listen to it several times before they decide if the song is ready to see the light. The moment the song is out, it becomes very boring for the artists, and they jump to the next project.
Well, that would mean they don't get to know their lyrics. Yes, they forget them, and that is why they rehearse before a show. Listening to your music helps you remember your lyrics, and also gives you a deeper understanding of your music.
