Wright Lifeblood Monk — Character Reference Sheet

A client approached me to design an original character for their tabletop RPG campaign set in a world inspired by the Hollow Knight universe. The character, Wright, is a Lifeblood Monk with a rich backstory and distinct personality that needed to come through visually.

I received written references about Wright's personality, lore, and background, along with several visual references the client had gathered as a starting point.

I took full creative ownership of the project from concept to final delivery. While I respected the client's visual references and narrative direction, I introduced original details that strengthened the character both aesthetically and narratively — small design choices that reinforced Wright's identity as a Lifeblood Monk and made the design feel cohesive within the Hollow Knight-inspired setting.

The process moved through rough sketches, refined linework, color exploration, and final rendering before assembling everything into a clean, organized reference sheet.

A complete character reference sheet featuring multiple views and key design details, ready for use at the table and as a personal keepsake for the client. The sheet was assembled in Inkscape for precise layout and clean vector formatting.
