Overview: Mercury is a concept driven beauty editorial built entirely through AI generation, exploring what happens when polished, structured makeup is deliberately undone. The project was created to show range as a creative director working with AI tools, moving a single concept through a full visual progression rather than presenting one static image.

The brief (self directed): The goal was to design a story, not just a look. I wanted the series to open with something clean and sculptural (a chrome eye) and end somewhere completely different (a face fully smeared in metallic pigment) while keeping every frame feeling like part of the same shoot. The challenge was maintaining consistency of face, lighting, and styling across six generated images while the makeup itself became progressively more chaotic.

Process: I started by defining the concept and mood in writing before generating anything, deciding the arc had to move from control to collapse. I built the look using GlamAI, generating the clean chrome eye first to lock in the model's features, hair, jewelry, and lighting setup, then used that as the visual anchor for every following frame so the identity stayed consistent as the makeup broke down. Each stage was generated and reviewed individually, checking skin texture, metallic reflection, and hand placement before moving to the next level of intensity. Once the six images were finalized, I designed the full presentation, including a title card and closing card, so the set could be shown as a complete editorial rather than loose images.

My role: Concept development, art direction, AI image generation, sequencing, and presentation design, from first idea to final delivery.
