Bargad - Experimental Music Animation

An independent study exploring frame-by-frame animation through a short music-driven visual piece created in Procreate. Using a selected segment of Bargad, I translated rhythm, lyrics and emotion into motion, combining literal interpretations of the song with imagined visual narratives. Over approximately 300 hand-drawn frames, the project became an exploration of timing, pacing, visual continuity and the relationship between sound and movement.

Created as a self-directed learning project, the animation challenged me to think beyond illustration and engage with motion as a storytelling tool. Through iterative experimentation, I developed a deeper understanding of animation workflows, audio synchronisation and how subtle changes in timing can influence emotion and perception. The project strengthened both my technical skills and confidence in using animation as a medium for visual communication.
