The battle for electric vehicle supremacy between Tesla and NIO had to be portrayed using the CEOs of both companies. NIO stocks at one point increased and even surpassed Tesla’s. I depicted this as a losing battle for Tesla with Elon Musk “bruised and battered” after “fighting an EV battle” with NIO, which has its CEO in a triumphant pose, “laughing at” Tesla’s “loss”.
