The Problem
A growth-stage SaaS company was seeing their cloud bill climb month over month with no clear explanation. They had no formal process for reviewing infrastructure spend and weren't sure where to start.
What I Did
Conducted a full audit across their cloud environment:
Kubernetes bin packing and workload rightsizing — identified over-provisioned nodes and pods running with far more CPU and memory than workloads actually consumed
Excess logging — found high-volume log pipelines pushing data that was never queried, driving unnecessary storage and ingestion costs
Cross-region network transfer — identified services making inter-region calls that could be colocated or rerouted, eliminating avoidable data transfer charges
Stale infrastructure — discovered and decommissioned unused resources across compute, storage, and networking that had been running unnoticed
The Outcome
Delivered a prioritized report with specific, actionable recommendations ranked by savings impact. Client executed the findings and achieved significant cost reduction without any changes to application performance or reliability.
