Bauhow is a German company that enhances consulting portfolios with modern energy advisory services, offering clients comprehensive solutions for renovation planning. Their services include creating individual renovation roadmaps, generating energy certificates, designing heat pump systems, and preparing funding documents. Bauhow's solutions are designed for seamless integration, providing partners with an additional business area and a new source of revenue. All calculations are based on DIN-compliant data sources, ensuring high standards of accuracy and reliability. Their servers are operated in Germany and comply with GDPR, adhering to the highest security standards.

Building the whole infrastructure: My task was to import about 9m datasets from public german sources, and put them into a PostgreSQL database, to be queried efficiently and without a huge latency.

Building the backend: Another task I had on my plate involved, that I am going to implement the backend. My tools of choice for this were tRPC for the internal API, Hono for the external API, and Next.js for the server-side rendering, and handling stuff that happens on the backend side of things.

Building the user interface: I have build the user interface, that you can see in the screenshots below. From selecting the perfect icon set, over finalizing the selection of a fitting font-face, to connecting the user interface with the backend.
