Logo Animation Case Study Portfolio

Projects: AimatoGet · Contra · Saint (typography logo) · Sparkly · AgileMotion · Pilvra

This portfolio-style case study bundles six logo animation projects to demonstrate end-to-end process, strategic thinking, brand alignment, technical execution, and measurable outcomes. Each project's write-up focuses on the business objective, creative concept, production approach, deliverables, and suggested performance metrics you can publish alongside the animation. Use these case studies to pitch new clients, populate Behance/Dribbble/LinkedIn, and include on your service pages.

Positioning & Objective (applies to all projects)

Primary objective: Increase brand recognition and perceived value by translating static logos into short, repeatable motion assets suitable for hero intros, social video IDs, app splash screens, and website headers.
Secondary objectives: Create flexible deliverables (MP4, GIF, WebM, Lottie JSON) that scale across platforms; improve perceived production quality of client content; provide on-brand motion vocabulary that the client or in-house team can reuse.
Target audiences: prospective customers, social media followers, investors, partners, and internal marketing teams.

1) AimatoGet

Background: AimatoGet is a (insert industry) brand focused on [insert short line — e.g., e-commerce fulfillment / lifestyle / finance]. The logo emphasises [key traits: speed, trust, friendliness].
Objective: Create a short animation to use as a social opener and app splash, conveying speed and reliability.
Concept: ‘Parcel to Pulse’ — logo elements assemble like parts of a delivery pulse; subtle motion path and scale give perception of speed and trust.
Approach & Production Notes:
Extracted icon and wordmark as separate layers for independent animation.
Used staggered reveals and motion blur sparingly for perceived speed.
Built a loopable micro-animation for loading states.
Deliverables: 6s MP4 (1920×1080), 3s Lottie JSON for in-app loader, 800×800 GIF for social, PNG sprite for fallback.
Suggested Metrics / Results:
CTR lift on video ads (target: +15% vs static in A/B test)
Increase in app open-to-conversion time (reduction in bounce rate)
Social video completion rate (benchmark 60–75% depending on platform)
Assets for case page: still frames (key moments), short embedded MP4 (autoplay muted), Lottie demo, project brief excerpt.
Aimtoget Logo Animation

2) Contra

Background: Contra is a (e.g., B2B SaaS / creative marketplace) brand with a bold geometric logo.
Objective: Elevate perceived professionalism and create a confident brand sting for presentations and demos.
Concept: ‘Reveal & Construct’ — geometric segments rotate and snap into place with mechanical timing to communicate precision.
Approach & Production Notes:
Modular animation by segments to allow alternate reveals.
Emphasized clean, linear motion and crisp easing to support enterprise positioning.
Deliverables: 5s MP4, 3x shorter cutdowns (2s, 1s) for transitions, 1200×1200 GIF for announcement posts.
Suggested Metrics / Results:
Higher recall in pitch decks (measured through qualitative feedback)
Improved viewer retention on demo videos where the sting precedes content.
Assets for case page: storyboard frames, short demo reel, before (static) vs after (motion) comparison GIF.

3) Sainte (Typography Logo)

Background: Saint is a typographic-only mark where letterforms carry personality.
Objective: Animate the typographic features while preserving legibility and premium positioning.
Concept: ‘Handmade Whisper’ — subtle ink-like reveals and kern modulation that behaves like breath across letters.
Approach & Production Notes:
Work at glyph/path level; convert to outlines and plan staggered mask reveals.
Careful modulation of kerning during reveal to ensure no legibility loss.
Deliverables: 7s master MP4 (hero), Lottie for interactive hover states, SVG+CSS micro-animation for web.
Suggested Metrics / Results:
Increased time on homepage when animation present (benchmark +8–12%)
More queries from premium clients referencing the polished identity
Assets for case page: animated SVG embed, side-by-side typography treatment notes
Sainte Logo animation

4) Sparkly

Background: Sparkly is a consumer-facing brand (you already worked with them) focused on clarity and fun in their product communications.
Objective: Create a lively intro that feels fresh and energetic, and scales to social reels.
Concept: ‘Spark & Reveal’ — micro-sparks lead the eye and gradually coalesce into the full logotype, ending with a sparkle accent.
Approach & Production Notes:
Particle-inspired motion and hand-tuned easing to make the spark feel organic.
Short, snappy duration for social-first formats.
Deliverables: 4s MP4 hero, GIF variant for Instagram, 1080×1920 vertical crop for reels.
Suggested Metrics / Results:
Social engagement lift (likes, comments), particularly on reels and TikTok
Higher brand recall in short-form video content
Assets for case page: vertical reel exports, GIF preview, three keyframes illustrating motion path.

5) AgileMotion

Background: AgileMotion is your personal brand and a production identity for motion work.
Objective: Demonstrate craft, speed, and editorial polish with an animation that doubles as a showreel opener.
Concept: ‘Cheetah to Cheetah’ — elegant reveal that suggests agility through a fast line sweep and kinetic type.
Approach & Production Notes:
Focus on timing and secondary motion for letters and emblem.
Include a looped sub-animation for lower-third and watermark use.
Deliverables: 8s hero MP4, 3s loop for watermark usage, Lottie for site header.
Suggested Metrics / Results:
Increased direct client inquiries from portfolio page (track with UTM links)
Longer session duration on portfolio page when animation is present
Assets for case page: embedded showreel clip, animated watermark demo, project narrative that highlights your creative decisions.
Behind the scene

6) Pilvra

Background: Pilvra is (fill industry) with an abstract mark designed for scalability.
Objective: Communicate sophistication and modularity through motion.
Concept: ‘Modular Bloom’ — mark elements rotate and expand into a full symbol, suggesting systems that scale.
Approach & Production Notes:
Design modular builds that can be recomposed for pattern systems.
Keep motion axis consistent for brand coherence.
Deliverables: 6s MP4, pattern assets (sprite sheets), Lottie for site use.
Suggested Metrics / Results:
Improved brand perception in stakeholder surveys
Additional on-site conversions when animated hero used (measure through A/B)
Assets for case page: animated MP4, pattern extraction sheet, brand usage notes.

Technical Deliverables & Export Specs (recommendations)

Master animation: ProRes 422 (or 4444 if alpha needed) at 24/30fps (1920×1080 or 4K if requested).
Web/Distribution: H.264 MP4 for general use; WebM for better compression on supporting platforms.
Social: 1080×1920 vertical (Reels/TikTok), 1080×1080 square (Instagram), 1200×630 (Twitter/LinkedIn preview).
Loop & UI: Lottie JSON (export from After Effects with Bodymovin for vector, or convert using Rive where interactivity required).
Animation length guide: 3–9 seconds for primary reveals; 1s–3s for stings & transitions.
Accessibility: Ensure at least 3:1 contrast between moving elements and background in all frames where text is present.

Results, Measurement & How to Report Them

Suggested KPIs: Video completion rate, CTR (where used in ads), time on page, bounce rate, social engagement lift, conversion lift (A/B), qualitative feedback from client stakeholders.
How to collect: Use UTM-tagged links on assets, experiment with A/B tests on landing pages, use native analytics for social platforms, and run quick user tests for recall and perception.
Report template: one-page KPI summary, three visual graphs (views, CTR, completion rate), and client quote.
