167 likes, 65 comments - everycitywithyou on December 21, 2024: “The Christmas markets in Salzburg just hit different, they were so cozy and festive! 🎄 We indulged in some seriously delicious market food and lots of hot glühwein, because, wow, it was cold. Like, “we need three layers tomorrow” kind of cold. 😅 One of the most unexpected highlights was stumbling across the Krampus Run! We thought it was happening on a different day, but on our way back to the hotel, we heard all this noise and had to check it out. Seeing those wild, costumed Krampus figures up close was both thrilling and slightly terrifying! Things you can’t miss in Salzburg: ✨ Take a stroll around the Hohensalzburg Fortress. It’s peaceful and so beautiful. ✨ Ride the cable car (or hike) up to the fortress for breathtaking views of the city. Just a heads-up: go early because the crowds build fast! ✨ Dine at Europe’s oldest restaurant.
