econ.mom

What it is: A free study site for high school AP economics students. It has 12 interactive tools, including AI-graded practice essays, calculators, charts, and a live tariff modeler. ATT designed it, built it, and launched it in 14 weeks. It was later featured on Marginal Revolution, one of the most-read economics blogs on the internet.

The challenge

Economics textbooks are slow, paywalled, and disconnected from the actual data students and policy people care about. Build a free, citation-rigorous toolkit that students, debaters, and policy desks can pull up before class, before a debate, or before a deadline, and make it look like a real publication, not a hobby site.

What ATT shipped

A full custom editorial site with twelve interactive tools, from AP free-response auto-grading to live tariff modeling to a Shadow Fed with a published track record. Custom design system, Playfair display headlines, live data feeds, citation footnotes on every claim, and Gemini API integration for the grading tools. Built for fast loads and ranking on long-tail AP and economics queries.

The numbers

8,000+ Gemini API calls served. Real usage from real students and educators.
1,200+ AP students and educators have used the tools, spread across 40+ schools.
12 tools shipped from zero in 14 weeks, every formula shown and every dataset cited.
1 feature on Marginal Revolution, one of the most-read economics blogs on the internet.
