Oakley is a series of toddler’s illustrated books written by Dr. C. The main character is a funny beagle who takes part in various adventures.

The first book was published in English and Italian. Both the original version and the translation teach little kids new words in a funny way. The story plays with a series of objects, all of which rhyme with the word “socks”. In order to maintain the rhymes in both languages, some of the objects change in the translated edition.

To meet the need of the very young audience of the series of books, the illustrations use very bright colors and high contrasts. The presence of many rounded shapes infuses a friendly look to the characters.
