Communication Post Mint

Silence from a project after minting is unacceptable. Assuming engaged members or players will come simply by building a product is rarely true. In Web3, a lack of communication will quickly earn the label of "rug." Projects must remain active and supportive of the community post mint, with an active team to engage community members.
If there is no plan or scheduled communication after minting, it may indicate a lack of focus on the product and only on the mint. This is a red flag.

Discord

Engaging with the community through regular updates and seeking feedback on Discord is more crucial than marketing on Twitter. By utilizing Discord, teams can foster direct and personalized communication which can drive participation and feedback. As the project's most involved users can be found on Discord, prioritizing keeping this community informed and engaged after NFT minting is essential.

It gets the community involved, and once you invest in something, a lot of people wanna feel involved. If you deprive them of that feeling, they’ll wanna sell.

Twitter

Although the amount of Twitter activity may decrease post-mint due to the limited information available to share, it is still crucial for projects to continue marketing and engaging with their followers.
While maintaining engagement with their Discord community, it is important to also share regular updates on game development and actively seek new partnerships. Participation in Twitter Spaces is another effective way to raise awareness and promote the project.

Delivering Gameplay (Footage)

After discussing the mint, the conversation moved to gameplay development. It's crucial to offer token holders a clear idea of what they're investing in, and the time between the mint and the launch of playable content should be minimal.

Ideally, they are minting with footage ready to drop shortly thereafter and not a big wait (1-3 months) until gameplay (at least an alpha) ~ @Lemz_42
One member suggested having gameplay footage available before the mint, but another Wolves member offered a different perspective.

Gameplay footage can be put off as long as there are regular dev logs showing a consistent effort towards building the game

Setting Expectations

When setting expectations before the mint, teams should aim for transparency rather than vagueness. Some projects keep their roadmap ambiguous to inflate expectations and increase the floor price, but this is not recommended. Given that delayed development has become the norm in Web3 gaming, transparency is even more crucial to ensure community members know what to expect.

Floor Price

During the last topic of discussion, the group debated whether projects should prioritize maintaining the floor price. The majority agreed that it's not necessary for projects to do so since it involves short-term manipulation.

Short-term pumps and floor-sweeping often rewards the people that are looking to exit, which is behaviour that you don't want to reward
Secondary market prices are mostly determined by traders and market sentiment, especially in current market conditions. Therefore, projects should focus their attention and resources on game development as that is more important.

Team’s Decisions

Teams shouldn’t be influencing secondary market prices, however, they should be mindful of their actions and communication because they can indirectly influence prices.

Concluding

This first post covers three crucial topics to address after the NFT mint: communication, gameplay, and floor price. Proper management of these subjects is vital for retaining community members and ensuring a successful game launch.
