The project timeline was too short to follow the usual research process. Additionally, the previous version of the app was criticized for lacking the look and feel of a student aid platform, resembling a fintech app instead. These were the key challenges I aimed to address in the new version.

To address this challenge, I collaborated with the client to run a short survey among students available in class that day, gathering valuable insights to guide the design process. I then utilized generative AI to analyze the data and develop personas and problem statements tailored to the target audience—higher education students. This approach allowed me to focus on ideation and swiftly translate concepts into sketches. During the design phase, I worked collaboratively to carefully select elements such as a vibrant color scheme, engaging illustrations, and a modern layout to resonate with Gen Z users. By leveraging AI, teamwork, and a user-centric approach, we effectively addressed existing challenges and created a solution that appeals to the intended audience.
