Design a type specimen book showcasing the history and formal 

qualities of Garamond as a typeface.

Opportunity

When given the typeface Garamond for my type specimen book, the immediate idea around the book's theme was old-style. I wanted to make a book highlighting the typeface's origin in a way that is almost like an illuminated manuscript.  the incorporation of print images, justified type, and drop capitals would help with creating this look since they are typical characteristics of old-style books such as illuminated manuscripts. I also wanted to make the layout more modern since it is still widely used today. I did so with the use of bright colors and exciting type layouts.
