Even though there are countless social media sites available online, have you ever felt you have no one to accompany you to your favorite movie/ football match, or party? We live in the most connected era in the history of mankind thanks to digital connectivity. But sometimes digital connection is not enough. Sometimes we just wish to enjoy the physical company of another human. That’s what I felt several times during my college years, which motivated me to design this website.

Even though this project started with a problem that I personally experienced, as I moved through the user interview process, I understood I am not the only one with this particular frustration. So, designing a website that connects people for physical tasks/events became a UX challenge for me.

Goals/Requirements: Add some goals or requirements that helped get this project to the finish line. • Eliminate digital barriers so that users can focus on connecting. • Limiting features/functions to eliminate confusion. • Proving users the necessary assets to reach desirable & like-minded people.

While designing this website I have learned a lot about the usage of certain features in Figma. I had to dive deep into the platform to make my UI interactive. While building prototypes for Find Buddy, I majorly used features like Auto Layout and Component-Variants. This project also pushed me to pick and learn new design skills. Find Buddy is a project that’s close to my heart and I am still working to improve the website. I am also in the process to build the mobile version of the platform. So, I’ll keep making iterations which I believe is one of the most crucial trades of a good UX designer.
