Arabic Localization and DTP for Instructional Booklet

The client came to me with the file in a format I don’t usually receive for this kind of project. It wasn’t an InDesign file — it was an Illustrator file, and to make things more challenging, the font used didn’t support Arabic at all.

The task? Convert a complete instructional booklet into Arabic within just 3 days, without compromising the visual identity or the fine details of the original design.

This localization process was far more than just translation. I had to completely rebuild and adapt the layout to accommodate the Arabic Right-to-Left (RTL) writing direction, while keeping the original visual identity intact.
