A sleek, glass-walled boardroom. Employees rush around, prepping for an important investor meeting.
VIKRAM (40s, sharply dressed, arrogant) checks his watch, annoyed.
VIKRAM
(annoyed)
Where is my lunch? Does this city have no concept of time?
The door opens.
RAVI (early 20s, humble clothes, carrying a food delivery bag) enters, smiling politely.
RAVI
Sir, your order. Sorry if I’m a little late—traffic was—
VIKRAM
(interrupting)
Save it. Maybe if you had a real job instead of running around with food, you’d understand deadlines.
Some employees snicker. PRIYA (mid-20s, kind intern) glances at Ravi, looking uncomfortable.
RAVI
(smiles politely)
A job’s a job, sir. I’m just happy I can help my family.
Vikram waves him off. Ravi exits.
EXT. OFFICE ENTRANCE – MOMENTS LATER
Ravi is leaving when he overhears two employees whispering near the entrance.
EMPLOYEE 1
The presentation’s gone. The laptop crashed. No backup.
EMPLOYEE 2
If we mess this up, Vikram’s gonna lose the investors.
Ravi pauses, curious but walks away.
EXT. SIDE STREET – DAY
Priya runs out, catching up with Ravi.
PRIYA
Hey… I’m sorry about what happened. Vikram can be… difficult.
RAVI
It’s fine. I’ve heard worse.
PRIYA
I overheard you telling another delivery guy last week you studied computer science?
RAVI
Yeah. Had to drop out after my dad’s accident. I work full-time now to help my family.
PRIYA
Well… our system’s crashed. You think you could…?
Ravi hesitates, remembering Vikram’s insults.
INT. OFFICE – TECH ROOM – LATER
Ravi sits at the broken laptop. Employees watch skeptically.
VIKRAM
(rolling eyes)
This is ridiculous. We’re letting the delivery boy play IT now?
Priya glares at him. Ravi ignores the insult and starts typing.
Montage of him running recovery commands, digging through old email backups.
After a tense pause… the presentation file appears on screen.
RAVI
Found it.
Gasps fill the room.
VIKRAM
(stunned)
You… actually did it.
INT. BOARDROOM – MEETING START – DAY
Investors sit around the table. Vikram presents confidently.
Halfway through… the projector dies.
VIKRAM
No, no, no… not now!
Ravi steps in calmly, fixing the connection in seconds.
INVESTOR 1
Impressive. Does he work here?
PRIYA
Not yet. But he should.
Vikram looks embarrassed… then nods.
INT. OFFICE – DAY (AFTER MEETING)
VIKRAM
Ravi… I was wrong about you. How’d you like to work here in IT?
RAVI
(smiling)
Only if I can still do evening deliveries. That’s my way of keeping grounded.
Vikram laughs awkwardly.
EXT. STREET – EVENING
Ravi rides his bike, delivery bag on his back, a small “Tech Associate – RVS Corp” badge clipped to his shirt.
VOICEOVER (MORAL)
We should never judge someone by their job or appearance.
Everyone has a story, and sometimes the people we underestimate are the ones who can make the biggest difference.
Because in the end… what really matters is how we treat others.
