Twin Blade Saga: Whispers of the Hunt Book Cover

Art Direction, Design, and Illustration for the first book in The Twin Blade Saga by Simon R. Evans: Whispers of the Hunt. The cover art vividly brings to life three key characters: Dinen, the main character; a mysterious wolf; and a blind seer. Each character was carefully modeled in 3D, then seamlessly integrated in Photoshop. By applying matte painting techniques, I crafted a composition that blends them together beautifully.
In addition to the main illustration, I also designed a custom jacket for the book, incorporating typography and special effects that enhance the overall aesthetic. Furthermore, the book includes a detailed, hand-drawn map of the fantasy world where the story unfolds, adding depth and context. To complement the physical edition, I created an audiobook cover version for the narration by Brian Stivale, known for Demon’s Souls, Fallout New Vegas, and World War Z.
“The drums of war echo as whispers on the wind. Dinen, a young hunter, lives a quiet life with his father Edric in Jern, a secluded village. But on one dark night, Varkorian soldiers attack Jern, leaving Edric gravely wounded. With his last strength, Edric urges Dinen to flee and deliver a crucial message to Jasmine in the palace of Anrial: ‘I have failed…’ With the help of his best friend Tanus, Dinen joins a group of rescuers. Together with Jena, the village healer, they embark on a perilous journey toward Anrial. Pursued relentlessly by enemy soldiers and ambushed by bandits, they must survive to deliver Edric’s message. Can they reach Anrial and discover the reason behind their pursuit? And might Edric somehow survive? The whispers of the hunt grow louder…”
