Initial Interest
What sparked my interest in connecting apis in my dashboard was the ease of being able to add a feature I wanted into the project that way. I have leasurely betted on basketball games and one day had an idea that what if I could use ai to help me choose the best picks for the night. In pursuing that idea I learned about apis and have come to really like them.
Research Phase
Learned how to interact with API's.
Manipulated data after calling the API's.
Displayed the data in a clear and readable way.
I got to learn in depth about rest apis with this project and I've come to find that I enjoy backend work and data discoveries.
In this project I'm getting a lot of data from a lot of different places and even combining some of it to form new data. I’m working with existing apis but also made my own in the process because I realized the referee data I wanted didn't have a way to access it easily with an existing api. So I made my own.
Since this snapshot I have tracked the time, quarter and just about anything else in a basketball game.
