Counterform is a self-initiated, free Framer template by KamnevApps for designers and small type publishers. It lets visitors put their own words into a specimen, compare families and read longer samples before choosing a font.
The Families CMS contains three demonstration records: Fraunces, Syne and Spline Sans Mono. Eight page types include a catalogue, individual specimens, a glyph reference, a reading room and font-source and licence pages. Shared navigation and responsive layouts connect the library.
The live tester is one isolated code component. Visitors can enter text and adjust size and weight while the surrounding pages remain native and editable in Framer. Missing characters may use a fallback font, so checking a specimen with the intended family remains part of the process.
The specimen pages give the type room to work: large samples, quieter reference information and reading contexts show different uses. The screenshots below show the implemented interface, including the family credits and source links.
The included typefaces are credited to their original designers and retain their source licences. They are not KamnevApps type designs. This template is a specimen library; it does not sell fonts or manage font licences.
To adapt it, read the Guide, replace the family records and configure the tester for fonts you have permission to use. Update the manual specimen links and samples described in the Guide when adding a family, alongside its CMS record.
The template costs $0. A Framer account is required to copy and edit it; hosting, paid plan features and custom domains are separate. Template use follows the Framer Free Content licence; third-party fonts keep their respective source licences. Support: kamnev.apps@gmail.com.
Partner disclosure: our remix link is a Framer partner link. KamnevApps may earn a commission if you later buy an eligible paid Framer plan, at no extra cost to you. The template remains free.
