For more information about the program and how to get started follow this link: https://greenwarriorpermaculture.wordpress.com Join in and gain experience in giving relief to others in impoverished areas around the world. These practices can give communities a clear understanding on how to put their needs and resources together constructively. Green warriors permaculture has been impacting millions of lives around the world since 1999. Established by Steve Cran with 20 years of experience he believed that helping the less fortunate is the key to a happy life. Cran started in hopes of young men finding ways to gain food and support its sustainability, also taking care of lands and planning long-term solutions to the problems poor people have endured for decades. These men were later called warriors. These green warriors provide peace-building, children empowerment, community development, nutrition and health, environmental and marine preservation. These skills provide communities with suitable management and training to handle issues in food security, eco-education and maintainable livelihoods. Training opportunities and the apprenticeship program are also provided on the site. The apprenticeship program details hands-on tasks set towards the needs for maintenance, caring for animals, hygiene, building and gardening. Many of the projects will be conducted in real communities with real life crisis and after ten weeks of training the participants have a chance to be awarded with a Diploma of Permaculture Aid. Steve Cran once said “These are the skills in the field you can’t learn from books. Getting your hands in the soil and working in real life situations drives home the training to create the kind of people that can make a real impact in the field of aid’’. Throughout Southeast Asia training is being conducted on the permaculture-aid skills as well as the training of the trainer. Training the trainer is one of the most important issues in the permaculture right now because communities are in dreadful need of effective permaculture trainers. Summary: Camps are being built, community food security gardens are being planted, this is a good opportunity for any individual with the need to enter the aid industry. For persons serious about a career in overseas development work , this is a must.
