I was commissioned to create a poster for the upcoming film "Devil's Void.". For this brief, I will go over my design and thought process.

After the initial client brief and questionnaire were completed, I created a couple of concepts. The theme of the project is good vs. evil, with "sin" being a major element. The idea that sin pulls you in is something that I wanted to play with, so I decided to play with perspective a little bit on this project.

I use the first round to flesh out and start bringing to life the ideas we agreed on in the concept stage, as well as starting to explore typography.

*Note: These concepts are more fleshed out, but they are still just rough concepts in color grading and VFX and not complete.*

The client decided on using the title design [C,F]. The font is Miller Headline Roman I messed around with different ways to make a unique title. I wanted to keep the perspective in tact. I decided on using the "V" in Devil to also be the V in void. As Aaron Draplin said, "default is dangerous," and I believed that this style complimented the poster the best.

With the title logo and poster style decided by the client, completing the poster is just a straight-away sprint. Through communication with the client and a few rounds of small revisions, the final finished poster is completed, as you can see below. Void.
