Zzzibo: A Concept Site for an Illustrator, Built with Motion and Simplicity
When I started designing a portfolio concept for my friend Zzibo, an illustrator with a unique and playful style, the goal was clear: let the artwork speak, and support it with design that disappears.
The result is a site that’s lightweight, animated, and distraction-free — built to give illustrations the stage they deserve.
The approach
This wasn’t about flashy effects or heavy layouts. It was about:
Minimal structure, with just the right rhythm
Smooth animations to guide the eye without stealing attention
A design system that feels alive — but stays quiet
I used Framer to prototype and build everything, leveraging its motion tools to create a soft, organic flow between sections.
The outcome
A clean, expressive site that could easily become the foundation for a full illustrator portfolio. It’s a concept — but it’s ready to go live with a few tweaks.
Zzzibo’s work brings the color. I just built the frame.
