Kuehne+Nagel, a global logistics and transportation company, approached our team with the goal of creating an animated explainer video to visualize the full journey of a pineapple — from the farm to the store shelf. The challenge was to make a complex logistical process easy to understand and visually engaging. I was responsible for creating all the illustrations used in the animation.

Visual Style & Character Design I provided several visual style options for the characters and collaborated with the client to finalize the direction. The goal was to find a balance between professionalism and an approachable, friendly look. Storyboard & Scene Planning Based on the provided script and rough concept, I illustrated all scenes to match key moments in the story. Each frame was designed to clearly convey the voiceover content and guide the viewer through the process. Illustration for Animation I created fully layered vector illustrations for characters, backgrounds, and props — optimized for rigging and smooth animation. The visual language was enhanced with a subtle film grain effect to give the animation a warm, tactile feel.

The final result was a clear, visually rich explainer video that made a complex supply chain feel easy to understand and even enjoyable to follow. The illustrations served as the foundation of the animation’s visual identity, helping turn logistics into storytelling. The client was highly satisfied and commissioned a second version of the video with an alternative voiceover.
