The Djinns x Jam workshop, hosted by Genre X, was an exciting 3-day foray into bringing people closer to the world of generative AI. The event brought together enthusiasts, experts, and novices alike to explore the incredible possibilities and challenges that generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, DALL-E, and Midjourney bring to the creative landscape.

I had the unique opportunity and privilege to moderate the panel discussion and teach a workshop on generative AI to a dozen creative participants that included modules on ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Dall-E.

The GenreX Djinns x Jam featured a series of captivating 2-minute presentations by the trainees. Utilizing the generative AI tools they had learned to use, participants crafted speculative and fictitious narratives focused on the theme of climate change in the Indian Subcontinent. These presentations showcased the immense potential of generative AI in storytelling and visual art, as well as the imaginative ways in which technology can help us explore and communicate complex global issues.
