Educational TikTok Reel

This project was created as a recruitment test for an educational brand, targeting young students in the upper grades of primary school. The task was to recreate the client’s existing editing style and produce a TikTok reel designed to capture the attention of a younger audience.

The video discusses the results of mock eighth-grade exams, combining talking-head footage with screenshots from exams and official reports, screen recordings of the client’s website, on-screen text, and sound effects.

Recreated the visual style of the provided reference content

Edited and paced the talking-head footage

Integrated exam and report screenshots

Added screen recordings of the client’s website

Removed dead silence and unnecessary pauses

Added animated text and sound effects to increase engagement

Edited in DaVinci Resolve, featuring:

– Popup effects – Sound effects – Screenshots and screen recordings – Text on screen – Cutting and trimming for tighter pacing

This project demonstrates my ability to adapt my editing style to a specific target audience and create engaging educational short-form content.

It showcases skills in fast-paced editing, visual storytelling, and combining talking-head footage with informational screen-based content for TikTok.
