Articles for Sweden's official website: Sweden.se

Johan Peter Sundberg

Three list-based articles we created for Sweden's official web site – Sweden.se. We used the list form as they performed much better in terms of read-throughs and shares, ranking better in the long run (I think the amount of list-based articles has saturated since). Add on some SEO-friendly terms (and crosslinks), quick but concise copy, eye-catching images and a release planned for the season at hand – and you have our feature recipe. More about the individual articles below. ARCHITECTURE We created this feature when I discovered that Sweden's official website didn't have any architecture content. We wanted the images of the buildings to be the main focus of the article – hence the copy had to be short and on-point. To convey as much information as possible, I used the captions to provide extra knowledge and to inject an element of surprise. We instantly received a lot of positive comments regarding the minimal but information-rich copy and aesthetic image selection – especially from architecture and photography professionals. The feature also achieved a high SEO ranking among keywords such as "Swedish architecture" and "Architecture" + "Sweden". It would also be a way to make a story with a lot of eye-catching images of the locations – likely to be shared on social media. We wanted to convey some of the spectacular accommodation the country offers – from the quintessential Swedish cottage, but floating on water, to the world's both deepest and coldest hotel rooms – in a quick and picturesque story. https://sweden.se/nature/10-amazing-places-to-stay-in-sweden/
