Nicolas Black Elk Web

Web design and development for Nicolas Black Elk, an artist inspired by shamanism, the ephemeral nature of life, Andean mantras, guitars, Tibetan singing bowls and ancestral chants. Nicolas creates tools to heal from within in sync with yogic breathing and meditation, creating sound spaces that allow the release of emotions. Nicolas wanted a website that would embody and dress up his project. One that was visually striking, powerful and different. He wanted to start moving, promoting and sharing his project of musical connection from within. We chose photos and videos from the artist's archive and arranged, diagrammed and modified them to highlight the key phrases / concepts we found in the previous step. With his material and some pieces from royalty-free image and video banks, we created a website that captures and orders what the artist is about, and the story he wants to communicate.
