The Magnificent Misadventures of Poddles and Bowlber

Grab those jewels and dodge those bombs as we battle between chaos and curiosity, to learn when to let each trait win for two unique characters.

PC build coming soon.

What I Built

"It's Shipped!" — I yell as this creature of a game launches to itch.io. I am Dr. Victor Frankenstein and this is my monster. Legacy code I haven't read in some time, a project that needs revitalization and restoring to be whole and to work correctly. So I took that to work and let each varying piece work for what it wanted to do. One character wouldn't stand to have all the abilities I wanted them to have, so I took those abilities and turned them into their characters. Poddles could jump higher, and Bowlber could run faster. Which meant that levels had to be tailored to each character's abilities, and abilities had to be scaled correctly.

Built With

Unity
C#
Level Progression
Platform and item generation
Object pooling

What I'd Change

Level progression could be improved to save players stats and scores per level.
Could use more item randomization and power ups instead of single chance reward or dangerous items.
