Marauder’s Bay

Name of Setting: Marauder’s Bay

Location: In Between Tourmaline and Phthalo Forest. You have to come here to get to the forest. The sea is very dangerous.

Role in Story: A haven for travelers known for fishing and trading. Best place to find travel to Phthalo Forest, but it will cost you because it’s very dangerous to cross the sea. That’s mainly why people are exiled to the forest and forest creatures rarely come to the rest of the cities.

Related Characters: There’s no king but there is a lead pirate. Usually what he says goes, and he’ll kill you if you disagree with him.

Season: It can get windy here because it’s by the sea.

Unique Features: Most of the homes are built by, in, or above the river. The architecture looks like ships that have been cut in half and become houses, if that makes sense. Most of the homes are not built very well and are falling apart due to being so close by the water. There are no streets, just rivers. Little markets line alleyways of the river and they trade those rare items.

Description: It’s kind of stingy and there’s a lot of stealing that goes on if you are a traveler there so you just have to be careful with your items. There are also loose wooden bridges that connect homes that are stacked on the rock.

Sights: There are some brothels, taverns and such. You’ll see drunk people on the streets sometimes. There are also open fish markets.

Sounds: It’s pretty loud here, you’ll hear the sounds of ships coming in and out too.

Smell: Smells like fish and stuff.
