HONDA Romania had a design contest for the launch a the new Civic 5D model
The brief was to submit a wrapping design based on the characteristics of the new Civic model, which are rooted deep in to de HONDA racing spirit values but also in the japanese culture:
-performance
-speed
-reliability
-technologicaly advanced
-japanese culture elements
I proposed 3 design concepts:
1. Star Wars inspired design - “Fluid hyper speed”
The new Civic is capable of fast acceleration that gives you the sensation of a hyper-speed jump just like Hans Solo’s spaceship
2.Rally/racing inspired design - “Legally racing”
Honda has a long racing history since its beginnings.Subtle racing lines.
3.Manga culture inspired design - “Manga warrior”
Japanese spirit to fight, to make&perfect things to the last detail.Manga culture is very popular in japan like superheros in the States and worldwide.
