Research findings show that M2M communication networks are generally made up of three main modules that collect and transmit data to the M2M application server. Also, the satellite M2M communication's main feature is the capability to customize the network to suit such individual needs. Using this information, the paper explores further a satellite M2M communication system, with the main focus being on the transmission of messages between a satellite and a marine vessel.
