Digital portrait

I commissioned myself to paint a portrait in pin-up style for a poster for my portfolio. I wanted to use an element of the original drawing as well as some textures and colors reminiscent of retro pin-ups while keeping it modern.

This project allowed me to practice my painting skills and showcase them in a beautiful setting, as can be seen in the velvety texture of the skin, the definition of the hair and the playfulness of her smile. Below you can see the high resolution portrait as well as some enlarged details and a bit of my painting process. My technique is, as always, digital painting mixed with a little bit of tradicional pencil drawing. I hope you like it and thanks for visiting!
