Optimizing Volunteer Registration

A non-profit runs a robust volunteer program in partnership with the US Forest Service maintaining the trails of El Yunque Rainforest. If somebody was interested in volunteering they had to just send an email and an official would share available dates and brief description of the work. Then, add them to a spreadsheet that was then sent out to the Trail Lead.

I helped onboard a new part-time Volunteer Coordinator

I created a workflow for volunteer registration between admin and the Trail Lead (in-field-team)

I setup Acuity in their Squarespace website and trained the volunteer coordinator to edit the calendar of events

I digitized their waiver to capture more data

I supported their Social Media strategy to let people know of the new way they can register to volunteer
