Spatial Beacon Development for Project Aria

Project Aria is Meta’s research initiative aimed at developing advanced AR technologies through real-world data collection. As a UX Sound Designer at Meta, I contributed to the creation of the Spatial Beacon, an auditory cue designed to enhance spatial awareness and user interaction in augmented reality environments.

One of the core challenges of Project Aria was improving spatial navigation and user engagement through non-visual cues. The goal was to design a sound system that would intuitively guide users toward points of interest, ensuring accessibility and ease of use without overwhelming the auditory space.
