CRAG — Architecture Studio Template

The Core Idea

A building is not one moment. It's 24 hours. It's seasons. It's how light hits glass at 7 AM and how the interior glows at 11 PM. It's what happens when people actually live in it, not just photograph it.
Yet every architecture portfolio shows the same frozen frame. A single render. A single time of day. This is incomplete documentation. It's selling half the building.
CRAG solves this through one interaction. The site opens in dark mode with your night photograph. Toggle to light mode — the exact same image transitions smoothly to its daytime version. Same angle, same perspective, different reality.
You see what the building actually is: a structure that exists across time.
No switching between tabs. No loading two separate photos. Just one frame that reveals both versions. That's the entire point.
For projects where lighting matters — and for architecture, it always does — this changes how clients understand your work. Not prettier. Not more decorated. More honest.

What Comes With It

Homepage — 5 pinned projects. Three formats including the Day/Night toggle.
Projects — Grid, or list view with hover image scrub for studios with 30+ projects. Filter, search, organize.
Archive — Your sketches, material studies, concepts. The thinking behind the building.
Studio — Team, collaborators, awards. Credit the people who built it.
Index — A numbered list. Everything visible at once.

Build For

Solo architects launching their practice and needing a serious presence immediately.
Small studios scaling from 5 to 20 projects without redesigning their site.
Established practices with 40+ projects that need proper indexing and filtering.
Architects applying for awards and competitions where night photography and process matter.
Teams crediting collaborators — engineers, landscape architects, interior designers working alongside you.
Studios specializing in lighting design where day/night transformation is your actual expertise.
Residential, commercial, and cultural architects with diverse project types that need categorization.
Architects launching their agency and wanting a template that looks designed in-house, not borrowed from the internet.
Practices showing process — sketches, concepts, unreleased work — not just finished buildings.
Anyone building seriously and wanting to show it seriously.
