One project that I'm particularly proud of is the redesign and migration of Cookly's checkout experience, where I played a lead role in implementing the frontend changes and integrating Stripe. This project aimed to enhance the user experience and improve the performance of the checkout process by migrating from Django templates to a React-based frontend.

Description of the Project:

At Cookly, I led the initiative to redesign and migrate the checkout experience from Django templates to a modern React-based frontend. This involved reimagining the user interface to improve usability and streamline the checkout process, as well as integrating Stripe to facilitate secure payment transactions.

My Role:

As the Lead Frontend Engineer on this project, my responsibilities included:

Collaborating with the design and product teams to understand user requirements and design a seamless checkout experience.

Implementing the frontend redesign using React, HTML, and CSS to create a modern and intuitive user interface.

Migrating the existing checkout functionality from Django templates to React components, ensuring a smooth transition without compromising functionality.

Integrating Stripe's payment processing functionality into the checkout process, ensuring secure and reliable payment transactions.

Conducting thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix any issues or inconsistencies in the frontend codebase.

Outcome:

The redesigned checkout experience and integration of Stripe resulted in a significant improvement in the user experience and performance of the checkout process for Cookly. By leveraging React and integrating Stripe, we were able to create a seamless and secure checkout experience that met the needs of both users and the business.
