Tulsa Coffee Crawl

In early 2023 I had an idea to host a coffee crawl for Tulsa, Oklahoma. Something like a pub-crawl, but slower-paced and more inviting to introverts like myself.

This was no small task. I not only had to build an app, and the infrastructure to support it, but I also had to enlist cafes and coffee shops across town who'd be willing to participate in the event.

The pitch was the simple part, I'll build the infrastructure to facilitate the event and sell tickets for $10-$15. Coffee shops will offer one free beverage per participant.

Coffee Shops get new customers in the door who maybe wouldn't have normally stopped by.

Additionally, I gave cafe's some real estate in the app to showcase an upcoming event. Perhaps live music, a block party, etc.

By the 1st of August, 11 cafes had agreed to participate in the coffee crawl and over 400 people had downloaded the app.

Kickoff on August 1st was a huge day with over 94 active users:

Needless to say, the crawl was a huge success, hundreds of free cups of coffee were redeemed and many people were overly caffeinated.
