When I stumbled across Skojie's Phantom Pop designs, I instantly wanted to see them in motion. After getting the go-ahead, I jumped into After Effects to create the first in a collection of motion pieces to accompany this awesome brand identity.
The first piece is this funky TV ad. I wanted to lean into the retro, nostalgic aesthetic Skojie was playing with while drawing inspiration from classic horror film posters and vintage marketing design.
I expanded the brand motion out to an interactive character experiment in Rive, and also imagined the packaging in 3D.
