FLY YOUNG: A Virtuous Life

It’s 2023. Maybe now more than ever, people are being pulled in more directions than they can account for. The past some of us run from, the future we’re racing towards, and the present we neglect on the way. Everything is instant. Everything’s going digital, and in a way, everything’s disappearing. Reduced to numbers and algorithms, filters and fetishes, chasing perfection at the expense of purity. I guess everything has a price, right?

I recall watching a Dave Chappelle interview where he references advice he got from his father as he started to really pursue comedy. “Name your price in the beginning, and if it ever gets more expensive than the price you name, get outta there!”

I’m still in the beginning of my journey both as a man and artist, similar to Dave in that interview, and I’m here to name MY price.

My next project, “A Virtuous Life”, will be exclusively released at a pricepoint of $20. The released will be accompanied with the introduction of my HARMONY IS HOME lifestyle & multimedia brand including but not limited to clothing, books, as well as a periodical newsletter featured on http://substack.com

In the words of the great Nipsey Hussle, many artists [specifically hip-hop artists] have never set their own business models. Of course, the avenues people are trained to consume their music through (Apple, Tidal, etc.) will always be what they are; but for those who understand what I’m doing and what a move like this represents, consider THIS your call to stand up with me.

This isn’t just a revolutionary step, but an EVOLUTIONARY one! The days of the performing panhandler, having to reduce him or herself to virality or violence in hopes of getting enough streams for a “decent” payout is over with.
