When presented with the challenge of creating an 8-page type specimen book we had to find a font that we could design and find enough research on how it came to be and give a little background on the creators.
After countless research, I decided to go with a sans serif that had various weights and styles. Gotham is a very versatile font and is used in different ways. Gotham is used in popular and well-known companies such as Spotify, NBC Saturday Night Live, etc. I wanted to give this font a fun modern look and relate it to New York as well and it is almost a subway-type vibe.
