Autonomous Email Triage Agent

An inbox that triages itself. This agent reads incoming email, works out what each message actually needs, routes it, and drafts a reply — so a human just reviews and approves instead of starting from a blank screen.

What it does

Reads and understands inbound email, not just keyword-matches it.
Classifies and routes messages by intent and priority.
Drafts context-aware replies ready for one-click approval.
Keeps a human in the loop for anything sensitive or high-stakes.

How I approached it

Email triage lives or dies on judgment — the cost of a wrong auto-reply is high. I built it as an approve-before-send system: the agent does the reading, thinking, and drafting, and the human stays the final gate. That keeps speed high and risk low.

Why it matters

Inbox triage is pure repetitive judgment work — exactly what agents are good at. Automating the read-classify-draft loop gives hours back without giving up control of what actually goes out.
