Process 🛣
I built this portfolio while training with masters for my career, and I'm always learning. I'm never finished.
Step 1: The brief
First, I get a brief from the person training me, or the client. This contains things like:
• Topic
• Keywords they want to rank for (optional)
• Guidelines (if they have them)
Step 2: Research
Then, I Research the project, including Keywords, and factual information related to the topic.
Step 3: Outline
As I research, I put together an outline that guides my writing. An outline is good for organization, and preventing blank page syndrome, or writer's block.
Step 4: writing
you'd think this is the last step right? Nope!
Step 5: Revise and edit
i Revise my copy to make it stronger, flow better, and more readable. Then I edit for typos and misspellings.
Step 6: Proofread
I give it a last look-through to find anything I missed before I send it off.
Step 7: feedback
If they have a copy cheif or editor, I send it to them, if not, I insist the help of a copywriter above my level to provide feedback. I make necessary edits, then send it off to the client.
Step 8: Finish up.
i add any finishing touches requested by the client, and then, the client pays, and the project is published.
