I developed FTTCoverage in 2021 as the first website I put online, aiming to provide valuable tools and information about internet and fiber connectivity. This project allowed me to explore the fundamentals of plain HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP, setting the foundation for my journey as a web developer.

The initial concept for FTTCoverage was a simple calculator to estimate internet speed based on the distance from the cabinet. I would start developing it using the Javascript knowledge I had that year, plus the internet to answer questions along the journey. As the project evolved, I expanded it to include a WordPress blog that provided news and updates about internet and fiber technology.

The final and most significant component of the website is a page that calculates the state of FTTH (Fiber to the Home) work in various cities, and that page is the beginning of my PHP development journey.

Writing some MySQL queries, I learnt the beauty, magic and extraordinary usefulness that server-side web development can offer, giving myself the motivation to continue developing websites, including Nevent and Humanistic Italy.

The website was built using plain HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP. No libraries were used, I liked Javascript as-it-is. In the backend I applied server-side scripting to create dynamic content. The WordPress blog was integrated to manage and publish content effectively.

FTTCoverage successfully demonstrated my ability to integrate different web technologies to create a functional and informative website. It attracted a niche audience interested in internet and fiber connectivity, providing them with useful tools and up-to-date information. This project was pivotal in honing my skills in web development and content management.
