Title:

3D Ship Animation – A Cinematic Ocean Scene Made in Blender

Description:

This 3D animation was a personal project where I aimed to bring a stylized ship to life in a cinematic ocean environment. I used Blender for the entire process—from modeling and texturing the ship to animating the water and setting up the lighting and camera paths.

Problem & Creative Goal:

I wanted to challenge myself to tell a visual story using only animation, camera motion, and mood. The goal was to create a short, atmospheric scene that could work as a teaser, intro, or background visual—without relying on voice or characters.

My Role:

I handled the full creative direction and execution of this project. That included:
Concept design & moodboarding
3D modeling & texturing in Blender
Ocean simulation and lighting setup
Keyframe animation & cinematic camera motion
Rendering & editing the final output

Process Highlights:

Created a low-poly yet expressive ship model
Used Blender’s ocean modifier and custom shaders for the water
Focused on storytelling through smooth camera movement and light
Applied compositing and post-render tweaks for a polished feel

Result / Outcome:

This project allowed me to deepen my Blender workflow and demonstrate my ability to direct and produce a visually rich animation from scratch. It’s received positive feedback for its mood and cinematic touch—and it's a solid example of how I bring both creativity and technical skill to client work.
