Smudge Artspace is upgrading its booking and automation infrastructure to a self-hosted, scalable system that removes customer friction and gives us full control over bookings, data, and future automation.
This Phase 1 project focused on:
Deploying a self-hosted Cal.com booking system
Running alongside an existing SimplyBook setup during a controlled transition
Established a clean VPS foundation for future automation via n8n
The system is being used to pilot Birthday Party bookings, with all other booking types configured. The work prioritises reliability, documentation, and a setup that can be maintained or extended by other developers in the future.
