Summary

Homesick is a candle brand that recently launched a collection in collaboration with Star Wars. Customers have always had the option to UV print a note onto the back of their candles, and as part of the Star Wars launch, Homesick introduced a series of pre-written notes as an option for customers who want a curated personalization option.
Client: Homesick in collaboration with Star Wars (Disney)
Team: Shy Inbar (CD), Sofia Ayes (Illustration), Robert Wozniak (Designer)
Timeframe: 10 weeks + 10 weeks for assets and partners approval

Creative Direction

We time traveled back to the 70s to dig deep into Star Wars collectable items of the era, gathering visual references from toy packaging, posters, movie titles, and stickers. Using those references we created a familiar and nostalgic visual language that balanced Star Wars and Homesick brand identities.

Personalization Modal

As part of the Star Wars Launch, the Homesick team wanted to introduce a selection of curated messages that customers could choose to UV print on the back of their candles instead of writing a fully-custom message.
The modal needed to emphasize the distinction between the two options so customers wouldn't think they were mutually exclusive.
To emphasize this distinction, we styled the "or" copy to be significantly larger and bolder than the rest of the content, and made it so when a user interacts with one of the personalization paths, the other is greyed out.
