As a Vietnamese international student studying abroad in Canada, I usually come back home for the summer. However, after three years of building my life in Toronto as a TRSM undergraduate student, I decided to spend my first summer in this city. As a freelance content writer who seeks new experiences to write, I curated a Toronto summer bucket list to make the most out of this vibrant city.
Join a Street Festival
Among other things, attending iconic street festivals topped my list. From Sasha on Saint Claire to the Toronto Flower Festival and Distillery District's Outdoor Film Festival, these events injected energy into my days and made me feel like a part of the Toronto community.

2. Fusion Tasting Challenge
Secondly, I embarked on a culinary journey, exploring a new fusion restaurant each week. With 20 unique dining experiences, including favorites like Yeah Yeah Thai Hong Kong Fusion Cafe, Mabu Generation, and Dzo Viet Eatery, I savored Toronto's diverse culinary offerings. These excursions fueled my TikTok content and honed my cooking skills.

3. Attend a Workshop
Workshops provided valuable learning and creative experiences. From pottery to lipstick making, these hands-on sessions broadened my horizons. Memorable moments included dinner date cooking classes and cake decorating sessions that deepened my bond with my significant other.

4. Bootcamps
As a TRSM member, I actively participated in TMU's boot camps. These sessions enhanced my skills and facilitated networking opportunities. From capital market prep to project management and writing workshops, I gained knowledge beyond my regular coursework. TMU's Bootcamps are open to all, with limited tickets available.
Throughout my life I have made quite a few impulsive decisions, and to my surprise, all of which happened in Toronto. All of these choices make me love and wanted to stay in this city even more. As you finish reading, I hope you add an activity or two to your summer to-do list. If you feel like sharing your experiences, remember that I am only an email away.
