Surf Report Menubar Application

A Mac OS menubar application that provides real-time surf reports, including wave height, wind speed, tides, and a surf forecast. The application visualizes data through detailed charts for an intuitive understanding of surf conditions.

Access from menubar

Installation

Download the latest version of the app from the releases page.

Extract the zip file.

Move the SurfReport.app file to the Applications folder.

Launch the application from the Applications folder.

Usage

Once you have launched the application, a wave icon will appear in the menubar. Click on the wave icon to open the dropdown menu that displays all the features.

The application provides the following details:

Wave Height: Displays the current wave height in meters/feet.

Wind Speed: Displays the current wind speed in knots.

Tides: Provides the time for high and low tides.

Surf Forecast: Shows the predicted wave height and wind speed for the next few days.

Configuration

In the settings, you can configure the following options:

Location: Select your preferred surf spot from a dropdown list of popular surf locations.

To access the settings, click on the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the dropdown menu.
