Role & Contribution:

Built a Ruby-based microservice to sync order data between Shopify and ShipStation

Used Shopify Admin API and ShipStation REST API for full control over orders, shipments, and label creation

Implemented custom business rules for label formats, carrier mapping, and packing logic

Secured API keys via environment variables and token auth

Set up automated error logging + retries for unstable responses

Outcome:

Client gained full control over custom label generation

Order syncing reduced manual work by ~80%

Integration has handled hundreds of shipments reliably

Reduced label error rate to near-zero
